Welcome to Ferronite Metal Treatment India Pvt Ltd

Vacuum Hardening

Vacuum hardening is a premium heat treatment process carried out entirely under high vacuum, eliminating any contact between the component and atmospheric oxygen or moisture during heating and soaking. The result is a bright, oxide-free, metallurgically clean surface with no decarburisation, no scaling, and no discolouration — combined with precisely controlled hardness and minimal distortion achieved through gas quenching.

Our high vacuum advantage

We operate high vacuum furnaces that achieve pressures in the range that completely eliminate surface reactions, ensuring a bright, clean finish on every component. This is particularly critical for high-value tooling, aerospace-grade alloys, and precision components where even minor surface contamination or decarburisation is unacceptable.

Why choose Vacuum Hardening?

Bright, clean surface

No oxidation, scaling, or decarburisation — components emerge bright

Minimal distortion

Uniform heating and controlled gas quench preserves precision geometry

Consistent hardness

Repeatable, tightly controlled hardness values across complex tool geometries

Premium tooling quality

Ideal for high-speed steels, tool steels, and stainless grades
