Thermal Deburring
Thermal Energy Method (TEM) deburring is a highly efficient process that removes burrs and flash from machined metal and plastic components by exposing them to a controlled combustion of an oxygen-fuel gas mixture in a pressurised chamber. The instantaneous combustion generates a brief thermal pulse that selectively removes thin burrs and flash — which have a high surface-area-to-mass ratio — while leaving the parent component essentially unaffected.
