Welcome to Ferronite Metal Treatment India Pvt Ltd

Carburizing / Carbonitriding

Carburizing is a case-hardening process that enriches the surface of low-carbon steel with carbon at elevated temperatures, followed by quenching to produce a hard, wear-resistant outer case while retaining a tough, ductile core. The result is excellent contact fatigue resistance, high surface hardness, and deep case depths suited to heavy-duty applications in gears, shafts, and bearing components.

Our capability advantage

We offer both Sealed Quench Furnace (SQF) carburizing for batch production and vertical carburizing for long or oversized components up to 2.5 meters in height in pit type furnaces — enabling treatment of shafts, spindles, and structural components that most facilities simply cannot accommodate.

Why choose Carburizing / Carbonitriding?

Deep case hardness

High surface hardness with a tough core for impact-loaded parts

Fatigue resistance

Compressive residual stresses boost bending and contact fatigue life

Long component capacity

Vertical capability up to 2.5 m for oversized shafts and bars

SQF batch processing

Sealed quench furnace for consistent, atmosphere-controlled batch runs
